CONSERVATOIRE MINERAL Printed Linen
A playful piece combining two printed documents, a Directoire 18th century wallpaper by Jean- Baptiste Reveillon and a hand block Directoire style cloth of the Edwardian era. Its charming patterning depicts mermen, the goddess Atargatis and musical monkeys, all accompanied by scrolling rinceaux, and beaded charms. Printed in three colours of spice, pink and an ‘ice blue’ mineral.
